Shop windows, venues, schools, exhibitions and indoor notices
Choose the right specification
Choose a poster by viewing distance and display setting, not only by a familiar A-size.
- Check the exact frame or display space before ordering.
- Use a short headline and large type for a poster viewed from several metres away.
- Consider glare, mounting and expected life when choosing material and finish.
Planning example: a poster behind glass
A poster behind a shop window can be affected by reflections and the frame. Check it from the pavement at the time of day people will pass. Large type, a brief message and strong contrast often matter more than filling every available space.
What to send for a useful quote
Share size, quantity, indoor/outdoor location, viewing distance, display method and deadline.
Use artwork at final proportions. Images that look sharp on a phone may fail at poster size; inspect effective resolution at the intended scale.
A question we hear
Can a phone photograph become a poster?
Sometimes. Send the original file and the required size so it can be assessed before print.
Plan the file and approval
Before we produce the job, check the final PDF for the exact wording, dates, contact details, size and page or panel order. Confirm any unusual stock, mounting or finishing with the team. A physical sample can be useful where fit, colour or feel matters.
