Work through the job in four steps

  1. Define the use

Is this a one-day handout, a frequently handled menu or a longer-lived booklet?

  2. Compare surfaces

Coated stocks can boost image contrast; uncoated stocks often feel softer and are easier to write on.

  3. Consider weight and folding

Heavier is not always better. A thick stock may need creasing before a neat fold.

  4. Ask for a sample

Feel and view stock in the intended light, especially for colour-critical or premium work.

Common mistake

A screen swatch cannot show opacity, texture, stiffness or ink behaviour.

Before you send the file

Check the exact specification with The Print Centre Warrington before final export. Bleed, resolution, colour setup, imposition and finishing allowances depend on the product and production route. Approve the final file and content yourself.
